my final words

Featured Verses - Time Is Such A Great Healer

£2.00

Time is such a great healer, you may not think it so, but it is true

Certainly, it is for most of us and hopefully for all of you

My parting came as some relief; I’ve been suffering for some time now

And as sad as I am to leave you, it was time for my final bow

Please do not mourn for me therefore, though I regret the grief I may cause

In missing me, as some of you will, give time to reflect and perhaps pause

To remember the songs we sang together, to recall the things that we did

To picture the places we visited over the years from when I was a kid

To think of the joys and happiness and the love we expressed for each other

For what I was, for who I was, I thank you all, and of course, my father and mother

I hope I made a difference in your life and that perhaps some legacy remains

That you can build upon and learn from such that both you and society reap gains

And to those of you my family and my closest friends all so dear

I say a very special thank you for caring for me whilst I was here

That was very much appreciated, a most Christian thing to do

I’m just sorry I will not be there to do the same for you

Look after each other and enjoy life, one day you’ll join me soon

Wherever I am, if anywhere, and assuming there’ll still be some room

My fondest thoughts are with you; my words are at an end

Goodbye, farewell, and kisses, to you all, this day, I send.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Our funerals should be seen as important as many other events in our lives and the lives of our family and friends. The circumstances of our departing are varied; they can be tragic, heart breaking , desperately emotional or, on some occasions, a comfort in disguise. But they are for all of us, the last event we will certainly attend so to speak. We or others can chose to make them a formality or make them something special, something more personal to our own wishes or those we leave behind. The verses on this site and those which are added in due course offer us an opportunity to personalise our funerals in a way not done before; they enable us to express our opinions, our thoughts, our feelings  and hopefully in a way which will bring a smile on the faces of those there at what should hopefully  be for many of us, a celebration, commemorating, honouring our lives and the contribution we made to the lives of others.

Some of the verses will hopefully be appropriate for most of us; sadly, some will not given the more personal nature of them.
