I’m over, out and done

Hello everybody, it’s good to see you here
Albeit for a sad occasion, well, I assume that’s why some are shedding a tear

Yes, it is a funeral, and in this case, it is mine
But I’ve had a good life and am of an age where really, for me it is fine

I’ve no regrets and contributed what I could
And I hope you feel, that in your eyes, I’ve been the sort of person I should

I may not have said it in the past and now perhaps I might
You being in my life, as you were, was such a great delight

You really made a difference; you brought happiness, joy and fun
Sadly, that will be no more as I’m over, out and done.
