It’s time for me to go

That’s it, I’ve done my bit, it’s time for me to go
Farewell my friends and family, I want you all to know

I was ready to depart this life; I’m old, tired and frail
And whilst I know you may be saddened, what has been, and what is, will prevail.

Pastures new await you as do the joys and experiences ahead
Grab them, make the most of them, and chose wisely the paths you thread.

Thank you for the memories some stayed with you I hope
Enjoy your life for it is short; move on from me, do not mope

Yours is now the future, and that of the generations to come
Look after yourselves, be good, be kind, signing off and out, I’m done
