Here today, gone tomorrow
Haven’t we all heard that before
And blow me down, it’s now my time,
To be knocking at heaven’s door
I’ve accepted my fate, I’ve ascended the heights
And hey! it’s quite a place up here
Not that I’d encourage you to rush your life
There’s plenty down there to cheer
There was no chance to say goodbye,
Certainly not to you all
A cancellation here in heaven
Meant an earlier than expected call
So be it, I can’t complain
I’ve had a good life on earth
Torah, goodbye, farewell, so long
I ascend to a place of worth
