My soul has now departed

My body I leave to you
And that’s all it is, no more I am
I’ve gone to pastures new
To a place so full of goodness

Utopia some might say
And it’s from here I send my love to you
And it’s from here that I do pray
That your mourning shall soon be over

Though my departing may be sad
For your lives, so short, with their ups and downs
Must be full of joy and you be glad
So was mine on many a day

Thanks to your presence, your kindness and caring
Memories you now have, good one’s I hope
To recall and, with friends, sometimes sharing
Maybe one day we will meet up again

Though please, delay as long as you can
Keep healthy, be good, love one another
