Welcome to my funeral

Welcome to my funeral, my passing was so unexpected
I leave behind my dear dear (wife/husband), my family, friends, so affected

I cannot hide my sorrow for causing you so much pain
And do I wish I was still there with you; of course, I do, but in vain.

Like most of us when our days are up, that’s it, behind me I leave
My nearest and dearest, alone and distraught, with family and friends so to grieve

Please be there for each other over the days and months to follow.
As time, companionship and the healing process transforms what now seems so hollow.

We’ve been there for each other and for you,life must go on
In time find joy and happiness, celebrate my life though I have gone

After this day is over move on, albeit good memories do keep
Life is short and I want you to live it, for me, in time do not weep

Goodbye my nearest and dearest, my family, friends and, well, the rest
Thank you for seeing me off this day, I hope I’m looking my best
